A new era is arriving for fans of the Conan Exiles MMO. In easily the largest and most comprehensive update to the game yet, 3.0 Age of Sorcery is not just another DLC, but in fact moves Conan Exiles into a seasonal model with new Battle Pass system and in-game store.
Conan Exiles is a game set in the genre of “Sword and Sorcery”, however it has thus far missed the sorcery element. With this new “age” to the game, the much requested system of magic will finally make its way into Conan.
Spells, Corruption & Powers
Players will first need to learn the brand new sorcery-based feats in order to craft all new tables, such as the spell-working benches and the new ability to “transmog” armors with the appearance of other armors, using the Illusion system.
In addition, players can unlock new special powers by becoming heavily corrupted, which unlock additional abilities in their attributes tree.
Gone are the days of your trusty old Berserker or preferred fighter. With the new sorcery system, players can even summon undead followers by sacrificing thralls and resurrecting them as deadly zombies!

Battle Pass & In-Game Store
Many fans have been quite shocked at the introduction of the popular Battle Pass system into Conan Exiles. Bundles of cosmetics and building pieces will no longer be released as paid DLC bundles, but will instead be integrated into the free and premium tiers of the Battle Pass. Challenges will help unlock additional levels to acquire news items – such as weapons and armors, building sets, placeables and more.
In addition, individual pieces and bundles will be available via direct purchase at the Bazaar, Conan’s in-game store.
New Building Pieces
A brand new set of building pieces is also being added, including a much needed variety to the base sandstone tier. We can see some of the new items, such as half-walls, large windows and closeable awnings here:
In addition, dozens of new cosmetic items are coming to the game, such as magic inspired pieces to decorate your rooms or wizard’s lair.
Attribute System Overhaul
Attributes have also been completely changed in 3.0. While some previous perks remain, many may seem familiar but may work a bit differently in the new system. In addition, it’s also possible unlock secondary functions of perks by corrupting one’s character:
Certain perk milestones, at the 10 and 20 point levels respectively, even grant the option to choose between two perks!
Conan Exiles: The Age of Sorcery is set to release on all platforms September 1st, 2022.
